Ulrich Etiketten is a family-owned company with a history spanning over 140 years. Starting as an engraving studio in downtown Vienna generations of the Ulrich family and their employees showed flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing economic circumstances. Ulrich Etiketten has becaome the nation’s leader in the production of self-adhesive labels.

1868 August Ulrich, Sr.
Foundation of an engraving studio in Vienna (Margareten district). Engraving of seals for the government officials of the Imperial & Royal (K&K) monarchy.

1910 August Ulrich, Jr.
Engraving and art -stamping. Era of "Art Nouveau" and the "Wiener Werkstätte" (Viennese workshop) movements. Evolution from seals and sealstamps to labels.

1919 Construction of label factory in Vienna's 6th district (Mollardgasse).
Production of die-cut, stamped and printed labels in reels. This era witnesses the label becoming a trademark for luxury items.

1950 Karl Ulrich, Sr., Dr. Fritz Ulrich
Product expansion into industrial production of self- adhesive labels. The label becomes a marketing tool and carrier of information for consumer goods.
